Q: How do your clothing sizes run? Is there a size chart?

A: Our sizing chart is located below. It is a rough estimate of how our clothing runs. Please keep in mind that we purchase our clothing from several different manufacturers, and each may run differently than the next. Our purple t-shirts, for example, are made from heavyweight cotton and have a more generous fit.

Q: Do your hats come in sizes?

A: Our hats are considered one size fits most. If you don't normally have problems with hats fitting your head, our one size fits most should work just fine for you. If you have a smaller head, check out our Hat Adjuster. It is available to purchase for only $3 and can be attached to the inside of a hat for a snugger fit.

Q: Is your web site secure?

A: Yes. Transactions are protected through the use of a 128-bit encrypted secure connection between your computer and our web site. You can be sure that when you place an order on our web site, your private information is safe. Red Hat Society Store does not and will not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with any other companies, individuals, or other parties.

Q: I'm having trouble ordering online. What can I do?

A: To place your order online, first choose the item(s) you would like to purchase from our site and click the Add to Cart button. Once you are finished choosing products, use the Shipping Rates drop-down box to choose your shipping option (Ground, 2nd Day, Next Day) and if you are a new customer, click the Proceed to Checkout button below. If you are a returning customer, enter your e-mail address and password and click Login. The next screen will have you fill out your billing and shipping address(es) and credit card information. If you are still having trouble, you can order with us over the phone Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm Eastern Standard/Daylight Time by calling 1-877-733-4288 (for international customers 1-248-652-2993). We will be happy to help you place your order.

Q: Can I pay by check or money order?

A: Yes. You are able to pay by check or money order by using our mail order form. Just print it, fill it out, and mail it to us.

Q: Can I return an item if it doesn't fit or doesn't suit me?

A: Yes. Just follow the instructions on the invoice you received with your package and ship it back to us within 30 days for a refund. For more information, please read our Shipping / Returns policy.

Q: When will I get my package?

A: In-stock items will leave our warehouse either the same or next business day ( Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, Eastern Standard/Daylight Time) from when you place your order. If you choose an expedited shipping option (Second Day or Next Day) and you place your order by 2 pm Eastern Standard/Daylight Time Monday through Friday, your package will leave our warehouse the same day you placed your order. Once your shipment leaves our warehouse, the length of time it will take to reach its destination depends on where the package is going. All packages ship from Michigan, so Ground shipments destined for the Midwest generally arrive in 1-3 business days, East Coast usually takes 2-4 business days and everywhere else is approximately 3-7 business days. Q: Do you ship to Canada or Internationally? How much is it? How long does it take?

A: Yes, we do ship to Canada and internationally. Choose your Country from the drop-down box when filling out your billing/shipping information and the appropriate fields will be shown for your address. For more information on shipping charges, please read our Shipping / Returns policy. It is hard to give exact delivery times, but it generally takes 1-2 weeks.

Q: What is a promotion code? How do I get one?

A: A promotion code is a combination of letters and/or numbers that may be entered online during checkout or given to a customer service representative over the phone that allows you to receive a discount on your order. The best way to find out about any current promotions is to sign up for the Red Hat Society Store e-mail newsletter.

Q: Can I get a quantity discount?

A: We try our best to offer many products at reasonable prices so that you can purchase larger quantities and not break the bank! If you're organizing a larger event or going on a shopping spree, we offer a 10% discount on orders of $500 or more (before tax and shipping). Just enter the promotion code YESRED into the promotion code box located in the shopping cart for on-line orders, or share it with one of our customer service representatives if you're placing a phone order.

Q: Can I use my Supporting Member Discount (Purple Perks)?

A: Yes! Log in and if you are a valid Red Hat Society member, you will receive 10% off the items you purchase.

Q: How do I become a Red Hat Society member? How did it start and what do they do?

A: To become a Red Hat Society member and to find out all you ever wanted to know about the Red Hat Society, please visit www.redhatsociety.com. You can also call 866-386-2850.

Q: I'm looking for something, and I didn't see it on your web site. Will you help me find it?

A: Our web site is the best place to look to see if we carry a certain product, because it lists every product we carry. However, if you've looked through all of our products and still haven't found that special item you're looking for, make sure you suggest we carry it by e-mailing us at sales@redhatsocietystore.com. We're always looking for new and exciting products to carry. As you can see from our site, we don't pass up anything red or purple! Q: Will I be charged sales tax on my order?

A: The tax rate you are charged is based on where your order is being shipped to. We charge sales tax on orders shipping to locations in Michigan, because we are located in Michigan. The sales tax rate for the state of Michigan is 6%. Orders that are being shipped to any other destination than Michigan are not taxed, even if the billing address is located in Michigan.

Q: Do you sell your products wholesale?

A: No, we currently do not sell any of our products wholesale.

  • Red Hat Society Store will ship in-stock items within 2 business days of processing your order. Orders must be placed before 2 p.m. Eastern Standard/Daylight Time (EST/EDT) for Second Day Air and Next Day Air shipments to ship same day.
  • Second Day Air shipments will be delivered two business days after your order ships. Next Day Air shipments will be delivered on the next business day after your order ships. Business days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Shipments are not delivered on Saturday or Sunday.
  • Standard shipping will be sent via UPS Ground or USPS Ground (our choice) depending on order size, weight, and destination. UPS and USPS require extra transit time when shipping to rural route or remote locations, even when shipping Second Day Air or Next Day Air.
  • Our business hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Standard/Daylight Time (EST/EDT) Monday through Friday. We honor USPS's shipping schedules and do not ship on holidays.
  • We ship to Canada, Hawaii, and Alaska. We also ship internationally. However, due to the great cost of shipping to certain areas of the world we may contact you to collect additional shipping charges. Please allow extra transit times for shipping to these locations. We cannot offer Second Day Air or Next Day Air services to these locations.
  • Canadian Customers: please note that all shipments to Canada are subject to duties and fees payable when you take possession of your package. Red Hat Society Store has no control over these fees and does not know the amount of fees that will be charged. If you refuse your package, you will be charged the costs that we must pay our shipper in order to have the package returned to us. These costs can be in excess of $100 or more. For more information on duties and fees, please contact the Canada Border Services Agency at 1-800-461-9999 (toll-free) from within Canada, or at 1-204-983-3500 (long distance charges may apply) from outside Canada.
  • All returned checks are subject to a service charge of $25 regardless of the amount of the check or the reason for return. The customer will be contacted for immediate payment.

Returns and Exchanges

We want you to love your products from Red Hat Society Store. If you would like to return anything you purchased for a refund of the cost of the product(s), please return the product(s) within 30 days of the original purchase date. After 30 days, no refund will be given. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Please note: there are no refunds or exchanges on sale items or special orders.

To return your item(s), please re-pack in the original packaging (if possible) and follow these simple steps:

  1. Fill out the return portion of your invoice
  2. Send your return to us via the carrier of your choice (USPS, UPS, FedEx, for example). The return shipping address is:

  3. If you have lost or misplaced your invoice or packing slip, please include a note with your package that includes your name, address, order number (if you have it), the item you received and return information or exchange information. Be sure to include the name and address of the person that sent you the item if it was a gift.
  • Please note that all credit card order returns will be refunded to the credit card used for the original purchase. (Please allow 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your statement)
  • Gift and gift certificate returns can be credited to the credit card that was used for the original purchase, or items can be exchanged for other Red Hat Society Store merchandise.
  • If the original payment was by check or money order, then your refund will be sent by check via USPS.
  • Products returned in quantities of 10 or more (that is, 10 or more of the same product), are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
  • Please ensure that all items returned are in new condition, free of creases, odor, pet hair, etc.
  • Please note that if you refuse your package at delivery you will be subject to all return fees. The return fees to receive your package back as a refusal are more than our regular shipping fees. In some cases, especially Canadian and other international orders, the shipping costs can total more than the cost of the order. It is more cost-effective to accept the package, fill out the return information and ship it back to us, using your preferred shipping method.
  • Media Returns: Cd's, DVD's, Audiotapes, Videotapes, and electronics must be returned unopened and unused. Books and calenders must be returned unused and unmarked
  • For sanitary reasons we cannot accept returns on socks, pantyhose, or wigs.

Damaged/Defective Merchandise

  • Please check all of your items immediately for damage or defects. You must let us know within 7 days of receiving your package for replacement.
