Red Hat Society events around the world may vary, but all chapters conduct Tea Parties. Tea Parties are one of the Red Hat Society's most favored, traditional pastimes because they are a time to catch up with sisters and enjoy delicious desserts and refreshments in a lively setting. They also give Red Hatters a chance to be creative and use their favorite red and purple decorations that match their red hats and purple outfits.

Tea Parties can be a great time and place to recognize outstanding members for their Red Hat accomplishments or to just have a little fun.  Celebrating life and laughing together at a Tea Party are two of the Red Hatters' most beloved and cherished affairs since they exist under the belief that fun and friendship are essential in living life to its fullest.
