work-around for smearing February 3, 2012 Reviewer: Anonymous Person   The smooth surface doesn't hold a line well, even with indelible marker. Work-around: laser-printed clear labels. Perfect. Red Hat Name Tag February 3, 2012 Reviewer: Judith Dissinger, FlyBye Queen Mother from Florida   Our chapter has used these magnetic-plated name tags for several years. We feel they visually convey being a Red Hatter while leaving a good-size space for writing one's name. The tags retain their shine over time & the red hat color & gold trim remain bright. We have used  permanent red "Sharpies" to write our names on the blank name tags but the color fades. Trying to remove the writing has been almost impossible. We've used nail polish remover, hair spray, alcohol & soap & water, of course. The writing may disappear after much hard rubbing & several applications but a "pink" hue remains. This point is the only negative one I have regarding the magnetic name tags. Does anyone have a more permanent way of writing the names & if anyone knows of a better method of removing the writing please share it. Was this review helpful to you?
