Red Hat Auction

The first step to hosting a successful Red Hat Auction is to choose a charity which will receive all the raised money. Once your favorite charity is chosen, a guest list should be made. Remember, don't limit your guest list to only the ladies of your chapter! The auction will be much more successful if you invite family, friends, and women from other chapters in your area. You can use red hat stationary and greeting cards to create fun invitations.

As soon as you have a guest list made, it's time to begin making the items that will be auctioned off. Baked goods will always be a crowd pleaser. Look through your favorite red hat cookbook to find recipes that are sure to attract a lot of bids. If any of the women of your chapter can sew or crochet, blankets and pillows would also be a hot seller.

You can also purchase items to be put up for bid. Red Hat Society Store is the perfect resource for buying items to be sold. The Hats $10 and Under section is the perfect place to look in order to find items for less money. Red Hat games and jewelry will also make great additions to the auction. The jewelry can be worn by both members and non members of the Red Hat Society.

There are many more items, or even services, that can be auctioned off. Get together with your red hat ladies today and begin brainstorming more ideas. The more time and effort you put into your auction, the greater of a success it will be!
